EasyGuide System Overview

Our suite of products has been engineered with a focus on accuracy, reliability, ease of installation and maintenance, operational simplicity and affordability. The advantage of the EasyGuide system over any parking guidance competitor is the accuracy of the "occupancy read", which is a fundamental requirement for effective data-based management (i.e. dynamic pricing and consumer parking app transactions).

The EasyGuide technology consists of an EasyGuide LED Indicator installed in each parking bay/space which accurately detects and "announces" the occupancy status of each bay/space.
LED Indicator and guidance signs, supported by real-time occupancy data, helps patrons quickly and easily find available parking space. The EasyGuide LED indicators can be selected from a palette of eleven (11) colors and can display a total of eight (8) at a time (non-Bluetooth indicators display 4 standard colors), which give flexibility for parking management.


Indicator colors come from the factory in standard Green and Red and different colors are set during the commissioning process. Indicator set up can also be changed remotely allowing indicators to be turned off or changed to a standard color scheme once a vehicle is parked to signify that the space/bay is full.

Scalability

The system architecture allows a modular approach to be followed when designing and installing the EasyGuide system in a wide range of car parking facilities. Bus Controllers, with their local networks of up to 100 indicators plus LED signage, are simply added to accommodate the size of the installation.

Reliability

A major design goal was reliability of the parking system. The basic unit, the bay indicator, has been designed to operate on several levels. Out of the box, the indicator will detect vehicles and indicate when a bay is vacant or occupied. When the Bus Controllers' indicators are addressed and configured they will provide four configurable LED colors (Standard Green, Disabled Blue, Reserved Amber and White), (Bluetooth Indicators display those four colors plus 4 x additional colors), and if required indicate overstaying vehicles with the overstay period configurable from minutes to days.

Finally, the network of Bus Controller is used by a Master Data Processor to collect data from the indicators, and send configuration data to them. For example, this might be changes in allowable overstay time, or reserving car parks on specific days.

Accuracy

The EasyGuide system is greater than 99+ percent accurate. The system also has built in fail safes to prevent an individual parking space from incorrectly reporting itself as unoccupied. The indicators send their status to the Controllers every 5-10 seconds as set on the system configuration. If any of the indicators fail to report, they are excluded from the available spaces count which are communicated to the signage. The system will automatically add them back in when they are replaced or begin reporting their status.

In the event of a power failure or loss of signal from one of the system BUS Controllers, the associated signs will blank until the power or signal is restored.

Sign Controller Software

Sign controller software gives the ability to assign any space, group of spaces or any space type to a single or a group of LED displays situated anywhere in the parking garage. This gives a live display of current spaces available in any area at any time. A buffer value can be configured into any sign to allow for circulating vehicles and vehicle movement within the garage.

The basic LED panel can show a red or green YES/NO message. A full matrix LED panel can display a red/green numeric value or a YES/NO/FULL message. The LED panels are brightness controlled.

Fail safe measures have been included to ensure the signs will never display spaces are available when the aisles/levels or the entire garage are/is FULL. In addition, the signs will auto blank if any part of the system assigned to that sign loses communication to ensure there is never incorrect information displayed.
