Parking Sense Chief Operating Officer Jake Bezzant and Commercialisation Manager Stacey King

Parking Sense has been selected to be part of Vodafone's national business growth programme. The company is one of 10 chosen for the first six-month Vodafone Xone programme which is modeled on Vodafone's six other business accelerator centres worldwide.

Chair of the Vodafone Xone advisory board Matt Williams, said the Xone accelerator was the seventh internationally, and the first in Australasia. The six month programme gave the chosen companies access to Vodafone's technical and marketing expertise to assist their growth. "It's all about stimulating new things that use our networks."

The 10 winners, chosen from 170 applicants, are each awarded a $150,000 package to help commercialise products at the Vodafone Xone in Christchurch's innovation precinct with access to a $19 million innovation lab..

The chosen businesses are innovators from a diverse range of sectors, including smart home technology, sports broadcasting, agriculture, education, health, big data and drones.
